These terms cover your use of Hacksy at hacksy.app and portal.hacksy.app. By signing in, you agree to them.

What Hacksy is

Hacksy is a platform that university clubs use to run hackathons and that participants use to apply to them, register for them, and keep a record of the ones they attend.

Hacksy is the platform, not the organizer. Each event is run by its own organization. That organization writes its own application form, decides who is accepted, sets its own rules for attending, and is responsible for the event itself. Hacksy does not make those decisions and cannot overturn them.

Your account

• You sign in with a Google account. Keeping that account secure is your responsibility.
• One account per person. Do not create an account for someone else or sign in as someone else.
• Give accurate information. Organizers use what you submit to decide who attends, and some events have limited places.
• You must be old enough to have a Google account and to agree to these terms where you live.

What you submit

What you write and upload stays yours. By submitting it to an event, you allow the organization running that event to read it, review it, and use it to decide on your application and to run the event.

Do not submit anything you do not have the right to share, and do not submit anything unlawful.

Uploaded files, such as a résumé, are deleted automatically twelve months after the event ends. An organization may choose a shorter period. Applications, attendance records and achievements are kept, because your history depends on them.

Using it fairly

• Do not attempt to reach data belonging to another person or another organization.
• Do not probe, scrape, or disrupt the service, or try to get around its limits.
• Do not use Hacksy to harass anyone or to post anything unlawful.

Accounts and organizations that break these rules can be suspended.

Organizations

Anyone may request an organization; the platform reviews and approves each one before it can run events. Running an organization means you are responsible for your own event, for how you treat applicants, and for the personal data you collect through Hacksy — including handling it lawfully and deleting it when asked.

Leaving

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Deleting anonymizes it: your name, email and photo are removed, and an anonymous record remains so that event attendance counts and organizers' audit trails stay accurate.

Availability

Hacksy is provided as is. It is run by a small student team, and it may be unavailable, interrupted, or changed. Do not rely on it as the only record of anything that matters to you.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use Hacksy after a change means you accept the new version.
