Hacksy

Hacksy is how university hackathon clubs run their events — and how the people who attend them keep one account across every school.

For participants

One account, every hackathon. You sign in once with Google and use the same account whether you are applying to your own university's event or registering for one three states away. Your attendance history and the achievements you earn follow you between schools instead of being stranded in whichever portal each club happened to use that year.

• Apply to events that take applications, or register directly for ones that do not.
• Track a decision, confirm attendance, and find your schedule in the event's own timezone.
• Carry a badge that gets you scanned in at the door.

For organizers

An organization runs its own events, reviews its own applicants, and sees its own data and nobody else's. Separation between organizations is enforced by the database itself, not only by the application on top of it.

• Build an application form, review submissions, and record decisions with an audit trail.
• Run the door on event day — scanning works on a bad venue network.
• Award points and achievements that stay with the participant afterwards.
